OUR PLANS HAVE BEEN RESUBMITTED!
- JAN 08 - Things don't move as quickly as we had
hoped. We have recently gone back to the county after they required
several new changes and additions to the plans. Right now, it appears
that we are going to be re-working our site plan to accommodate some new
changes without wasting any of our future space. JAN 08
- As of March 19th, we have gone back to the county
to re-apply for building permits! Pray that the Lord's will shall be
done and that our focus remains on target - for the KING and the Kingdom!
The Purpose of the Building Program:
- The Building has many purposes, but the
primary
reason to build is for the equipping of the believers and to
minister to those who are not. In other
words, Victory Baptist shall use this building to support it's members
and reach out to the community with love that can only be attributed to God.
- To expand the existing ministries of the church.
There is no good excuse for failing to do God's work, and surely not having
a building falls into this category. That is why we are already
ministering. However, having a building will free up people and time
so that we can expand the ministries that we do have, as well as give a
positive place for the community to gather.
- The goal is not a building. The goal of the
building project is to follow Christ in obedience in what He has called us
to do. The church has unanimously agreed that God has called us to be
a church that is active every day of the week, from after-school programs,
to Bible Studies, to community events - Victory Baptist Church will not be
isolated from the "real world" but will give anyone who desires, and
opportunity to experience the Victory that God has in store for them!
What is Going on Now?
- Architectural Plans are finished.
- Soils Testing is finished.
- Civil Engineering finished.
- Loan Approval is no longer active as the
permits have extended the process so that our cost analysis is no longer
valid. We will be waiting to re-submit this information as we get
closer to overcoming the hurdles that now face us.
- Consultants are found and completed.
- Permits have been submitted and have been
reviewed - we are waiting for the changes on our site plan to give back to
them.
Timeline
- No idea...We are now 3 years into this process;
God is still working in the church, and we know that He will bring it to
completion in His time.
