God’s Word
We believe that God's Word (the Holy Bible) is the absolute standard of righteousness, and is a beautiful revelation of God Himself and His interaction with humanity. While there is no authority higher than the Lord Almighty, the Bible was given to us by Him, so that we may know His will and desire for us and the world. Therefore, all of our teaching, preaching, and ministering is done from the Bible as we walk in step with the Holy Spirit of God.
Because we believe the Bible to be God-breathed (2 Tim 3:16), Living (Heb 4:12), and totally relevant to today's world, there are many opportunities to hear from God through His Word at Victory Baptist.
- All of our preaching and teaching is solidly biblical, and comes from God's Word, not from extra-biblical books or popular teachings.
- Our pastor preaches in expository style so that he may preach the whole counsel of God.
- Our Wednesday night service is dedicated to prayer and in-depth Bible study to draw us deeper in our relationship with God and in understanding of His Word.
- We have age appropriate teaching for children so that they too may come to know God personally.
- We have training opportunities locally and support our teachers as they do advanced training at bigger events.
- Other Bible study opportunities are given to the congregation (like our day-time study for those who work or teach on Sundays that is currently being offered).
